Rosanne and her amazing award

Donis and Danae, Seattle Washington

The proprietress (Rosanne) is lovely, friendly, very helpful, and accommodating. The property is gorgeous with a wonderful tree swing in the yard. There is a small solarium with a pool as well. The house is very large and yet still comfortable and cozy feeling. 2 friendly little dogs will excitedly say hello to you upon your arrival. The rooms themselves are very large and comfortable with tea and coffee service in the room. I don’t think I’ve ever slept on a more comfortable bed! Because there is only 3 rooms to let you wont feel crowded or forgotten. Breakfast was sumptuous and Rosanne made sure we had everything and anything we could possibly want. She even made us a quick breakfast to take with us when we had to leave at an ungodly hour in the morning to catch a flight! The decor all the throughout the house is beautiful and cozy. The pictures DO NOT do this place justice!! This was our favorite place on our 2 week trip!

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at The Grange. Rosanne is a fantastic host and really can’t do enough for you. Very attentive and welcoming and nothing was ever too much trouble. The rooms are very well equipped, bed extremely comfortable and room enjoys views across the beautiful gardens. Very well placed to enjoy a weekend of exploring around the local area. Breakfast was fantastic, lots to choose from and very tasty with good quality ingredients – we certainly didn’t go hungry. We will definitely be returning and will recommend to family and friends looking for a well-priced break. Thank you Rosanne and we look forward to seeing you again.

The Grange is a remarkable house in a very interesting part of the country. Rosanne was a perfect hostess with exceptional culinary skills. The rooms are magnificent, very comfortable and spacious and contains everything needed for a lovely stay. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed Rosanne’s company. She treated us like members of her family. We strongly recommend this B & B and cannot wait to stay there again in the near future.

Wonderful welcome from Rosanne and her family. Our dog Lola was whipped off for a lovely walk with Freddie, Otto and Spud while we enjoyed a relaxing tea and cake. Comfortable room, stylishly decorated, warm and cozy. The Grange is a beautiful and well-loved old house and we felt completely at home. Great walks in the area; across the green, along an ancient avenue of chestnuts, past the church and along the canal towpath. Breakfast was superb, nothing too much trouble for the charming Rosanne. Highly recommended!!

Wow what can I say – we had the most incredible stay at your home and you went over and above what was expected. You made our stay memorable and it was the icing on the cake after our wedding day. We were immediately made to feel at home. The Finch room was extremely comfortable and beautifully presented. Breakfast featured a range of delicious choices. We’d like to thank Rosanne for a perfect stay and would thoroughly recommend The Grange. Her hospitality was impeccable.

We had a lovely stay here. It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Such a lovely and welcoming host, beautiful room (the monkey room), great breakfast and beautiful setting. I would like to come back when we have more time and can enjoy a dip in the pool!

Beautiful listed house, the owner was brilliant, very engaging and very focussed on our experience. Wonderful house history and a fantastic breakfast. Not your usual English breakfast, much more thoughtful, beautifully presented and very, very good. The electric gate to enter the property was a bit of fun. Would stay again, very personal human experience.

We stayed at the Grange for a birthday weekend, & it was a truly perfect experience! Rosanne is the most wonderful hostess and her home is just gorgeous. We stayed in the Finch Room and didn’t want to leave – sumptuous and cozy! The rather divine bed was possibly the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. Breakfasts were so delicious and set us up for days of adventure in the beautiful Cotswolds. Rosanne kindly recommended some wonderful local restaurants too, all of which were a triumph. Her gorgeous dogs are so gentle and lovely and the house and garden just incredible. We can’t wait to return.

It’s a Fledgling only hatched in January but wow! It’s flying!!
It’s called “The Grange”,and must be the best Bed and Breakfast in Gloucestershire already!
Eight of us stayed here for two nights over the May Bank holiday, (not long enough) , you won’t want to leave! (I should have posted this before now sorry)
This rambling old house, steeped in history, elegantly furnished and yet so homely has everything one could want. It’s quiet elegance and most gracious host Rosanne, (who is incidentally an amazing cook), bring together that touch of luxury that is now very hard to find in the hospitality world.

On arrival, after journeys from Wales, Northern Ireland, Germany and Surrey we were shown to our rooms, (ours had a four poster bed!) , and invited to partake of a cup of tea served with a still just warm luscious lemon cake. Thank goodness some of our party had manners, and reminded us that it is very impolite to finish off a whole cake! However, sorry Roseanne, the next time we come we will have to finish off whatever you present, it is too good to leave!

Now for breakfast! Traditional or 3 other choices which all had a slight twist, a few ideas taken away for our own use from this menu, — however can we make it taste the same? it’s very hard to choose as one wants them all! We decided to try all! And very discreetly shared (oh those manners!). Top marks for everything even the toast was perfect! Very difficult on the second day as you want everything!

Lovely bed linen, comfortable pillows, soft fluffy towels, and impeccable cleanliness, excellent food, elegant warm and comfortable surroundings, you have it all! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Incidentally they do have a wing of the house to rent but!! You would miss those breakfasts!

We couldn’t fault our stay at The Grange – a very welcoming and helpful hostess, large beautifully furnished room with sumptuous bed, and great breakfasts. And located in an interesting village. We will certainly be returning!

We cannot recommend B&B at The Grange enough! Even before we arrived, we knew that our stay at The Grange would be special. Roseanne is the consummate hostess and was so helpful right from the start – nothing was too much trouble and her enthusiasm for what she does and the local area is clear. The house itself is a gem. Historic, beautiful, comfortable and a real home away from home. Roseanne offered to cook for us on the Friday night that we arrived. The food was delicious and fantastic value for money. Breakfast both days was equally fabulous. Not a traditional fry up, but a menu of far more individual, refined and brilliantly well-considered dishes is on offer, as well as fruits, toast, crumpets, yoghurt and granola. Served with panache by Roseanne, ably assisted by the lovely Julie. We stayed in the Finch room for two nights and the bed is brilliantly comfortable, the room perfectly dark and quiet – and really luxurious. We will definitely be returning soon for another dose of pampering and relaxation at the B&B at The Grange – thank you Roseanne for taking such good care of us!

We had such a lovely stay with you last weekend, thank you. It made the wedding weekend even more special to visit your beautiful home. The rooms were fantastic; I don’t think I have ever slept in a more comfortable bed and the breakfast was perfect.

Loved everything; Rosanne is one of the most welcoming people; couldn’t be more hospitable and make you feel at ease and relaxed. The house is beautiful; room spacious; comfortable and the breakfast out of this world. Couldn’t recommend enough; an utter gem!

The room was spacious and well furnished and the bed was comfy. The owner was welcoming and friendly making us feel at home from the minute we arrived and even before; offering to pick us up from the bus stop when we got lost. The breakfast provided was delicious. As we’re both vegan it was different to what the owner would normally offer, however she rose to the challenge and gave us one of the greatest vegan friendly meals we had ever experienced. Overall, a wonderful time was had by the both of us.

The owner/landlady was the most friendly and hard working person it has been my privilege to meet. She couldn’t do enough for us and was so warm and friendly. It was a privilege to stay there and I will be returning.

WOW! What a place. Very old and beautiful. Rooms excellent, breakfast superb. Everything about this place is perfect. What makes this place stand out from the crowd is the host. Nothing was a problem to her. From the moment we walked in we were treated like family. I have never stayed in a more welcoming place in my life. She even lent me her son’s swimming shorts. We definitely will be back as we feel part of the family now lol.

Rosanne was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was really interesting. Not just cereal and a full English but a refreshing slant on the old favourite! Even surprised on one morning to have it served al fresco in the lovely garden.

An Elegant sanctuary that will delight anyone. Beautiful room and lovely bathroom, peaceful surroundings, the host is easily one of the loveliest and kindest persons we have met, and she is also an amazing cook.

Perfect quintessential English experience, truly a delight to stay here. We stayed in the Squirrel Room, which was delightfully furnished with treasures. Our bed was super-comfortable, with pristine high-quality bed linen. Spotlessly clean, lovely fluffy towels and an amazing breakfast awaited us in the morning. Our hostess was so welcoming, right from our initial email enquiry (we were attending a local wedding) to staying up late for us. We will definitely return but for a longer stay in this exquisite home-from-home.

A Beautiful oasis of calm and luxury. This little gem of a B&B which could rival any 5 star accommodation. Luxurious, yet the warm and friendly welcome from Rosanne makes you feel at home straight away. We stayed in the Finch Room, with it’s huge comfortable and sumptuous bed, wood burning stove, and quality fitted bathroom with roll top bath and shower. The attention to detail is second to none which includes the very tasty breakfast – a far cry from the standard full English breakfast. A beautiful place to stay and one we will definitely be returning to – thank-you Rosanne.

Fabulous! Loved all of it. We booked a weekend away in advance of having our first baby and we couldn’t have booked a better place to stay! Rosanne looked after us wonderfully from the moment we arrived – with tea and cake in the gorgeous garden – and throughout our stay. Nothing felt like too much trouble and we (and our dog!) felt well and truly spoilt with excellent food recommendations, the comfiest bed and one of the best breakfasts we have ever had in a B&B or hotel. We will be returning!

Amazing stay with a super host. Beautiful property. Rosanne is a credit to the B & B industry. The breakfast choices were second to none, not the usual ‘Full English’. Rosanne certainly can cook. You are immediately made to feel at home and the ‘monkey room’ with the super king bed in was the icing on the cake! We would have no hesitation in recommending The Grange to anyone and would love to return again ourselves one day. Thank you Rosanne.

Lovely relaxing stay, right in the middle of the village green. Great host. Beautifully appointed room, massive very comfortable bed, lovely view over the gardens and the village green. Lovely choice of cooked breakfast, plus fresh fruit and yoghurt. Great location in a very pretty, unspoilt village. The wife was even given a little bottle of fizz and some chocolates by the host as we were celebrating her birthday; very nice touch!
